Margaret River Bride and Groom – Recommendations from a local Marriage Celebrant
If you have just got engaged and you’re hunting online right now for wedding venues in Margaret River and regionally, I can understand what a mammoth task it is!
But do not be daunted, the perfect wedding venue is waiting for you.
I am still learning the ropes when it comes to the best spots in Margaret River to get married, plus each wedding ceremony is completely different and therefore has its nuances.
However here are a few of my favourite spots in Margaret River.
Looking for optimum, personalised service with stunning backdrops overlooking vineyards – where everything is taken care of in one place? Then do not fly by Edwards Wines! My very first experience with this family run winery was at the cellar door and Sophia took time out to introduce me to everyone who worked there, including their pets – one of which is an Alpaca! This is a gorgeous venue that will work with you to ensure that no stone is left unturned.
Formerly Laurance Wines. I will never forget my first wedding here. I had previously dreamed of conducting a ceremony here after doing many wine tastings and luncheons there. And here now was an exquisite day by the water with the help of Sami, in making the day a perfect one for the family involved. Every ceremony since has been exceptionally well organised and it is a real blessing that this winery also encourages couples to do a rehearsal. In doing this, a couple have the chance to really get to understand what their options are and feel more relaxed on the day.
SWINGS AND ROUNDABOUTS (WINERY)
From the moment that you walk through the cellar door and gallery out onto the verandah and view over the vineyards, your heart will beat loudly in your chest and it will be hard not to give Swings and Roundabouts serious consideration for your wedding ceremony or event. Please do not hesitate to ask me for further wedding information which I will be happy to provide you.
This is a boutique winery where you are made to feel welcome whether you are visiting the cellar door or having a wedding. I feel relaxed conducting ceremonies here because it is such an intimate winery where everything is all in the one place. Dinell and other staff like Paddy are just awesome and make everyone feel so welcome [more].
THE SEA GARDEN’S CAFE (BEACH VIEWS AND SURROUNDS)
Indian ocean views and outdoor area. Colourful and cozy inside. What I love about this Prevelley cafe is that it is dog friendly, the vibe is laid back, it is affordable and the staff are flexible making it a great option if it’s a small wedding, an elopement or just casual.

Good luck! I hope that no matter which wedding venue you decide upon that you find the right spot. Please feel free to ask me for any recommendations directly!
WHITE ELEPHANT CAFE (RIGHT ON THE BEACH)
Stunning access and views of the Indian Ocean, this beach-side venue is best known for great food and atmosphere which is very casual. There have been additions added to ensure that this spot can cater via restaurant and wedding venue all year round. Staff are friendly and it’s dog friendly too.
Good luck! I hope that no matter which wedding venue you decide upon that you find the right spot. Please feel free to ask me for any recommendations directly!
