On Saturday 2nd August we met with our Celebrant Joanne Armstrong for the first time. Naturally we were really excited and a little nervous. What a complete joy it was for us both.

Joanne is so lovely, down to earth and friendly and we were instantly made to feel relaxed and comfortable. It was like we were chatting with a close friend or family member, which is just what we needed.

Sadly, we have had a couple of confusing encounters with other so called ‘professional’ local Celebrants who claimed on their websites to be accepting of all, including same sex. After contact via phone calls we were given potential dates, however, once learning we were a same sex couple, suddenly ‘no dates were available’. This was very disheartening, and in this day and age quite sad and ridiculous to be honest. No such problem with Joanne! Joanne is extremely supportive, no matter what your culture or sexual orientation. When you know someone is genuine and accepting of all, it makes the experience so much more enjoyable for everyone.

Joanne will happily include your family and friends in your ceremony in whatever capacity you need, is sensitive to your personal circumstances and takes pride in making sure you have a unique day that all your guests will remember.

If you are looking for the perfect Wedding Celebrant, you will not find anyone more committed to making your most important day run smoothly.

We are so looking forward to our pending Commitment Ceremony in November and could not have been luckier than to find Joanne to help us make our special day just perfect!
