Spring Wedding Ceremony Perth
This afternoon’s wedding ceremony is in Carmel, a half an hour drive outside of Perth, Western Australia.
I love this neck of the woods because national parks such as (Kalamunda and Beelu) and reserves (Jorgensen) are so easily accessible. Such a short trip brings you out into territory that is not as frequented as other parks and yet I cannot understand why – there is so much to see and do. Native plants are diverse and the drive through forests of jarrah, marri, wandoo and butter gum is tranquil. It lifts the cobwebs of a busy week.
Carmel means “park” or “garden of God” in Hebrew. This is apt given that when I Googled the venue for information all of these images of wildflower species sprung forth. There will be a blaze of colour at this time of year.
I have checked the bureau of meteorology and luckily there’s a light southwesterley breeze off the Indian ocean. We often refer to this as the Fremantle Doctor because in Summer it brings reprieve. It means it’ll be perfect today. A perfect garden wedding.
